Georgian universities participating in the European Union project DITECH Involvement of academic staff at the 27th International Conference on Information and Software Technologies (ICIST 2022 held at Kaunas University of Technology

On October 14 - 15, 2022, within the framework of the European Union Erasmus + project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs), academic staff of Georgian universities and representatives of the National Center for Professional Development of Teachers participating in the project During the second training of trainers joined the 27th International Conference on Information and Software Technologies (ICIST 2022 held at the Kaunas University of Technology.
At the conference, the national coordinator, Professor Izabela Petriashvili, presented the project's dissemination activities and future plans in a round table format. The academic staff of the Georgian universities participating in the DITECH project had the opportunity to talk about the ongoing activities at the institutional level within the project.
After the end of the conference, the academic staff of the Georgian universities participating in the DITECH project were given certificates confirming their participation in the trainings of trainers.
Professional development training of academic staff of Georgian universities participating in the European Union project DITECH

On October 10-15, 2022, within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs), the second training of trainers planned within the DITECH Consortium was held at the Kaunas University of Technology, Kaunas, Lithuania, in which the academic staff of Georgian universities, members of the project, and representatives of the National Center for Professional Development of Teachers participated. A part of the consortium members was involved in the training online.
The training of trainers was conducted at a high academic level by Kaunas University of Technology, whose academic staff conducted practical seminars and workshops. During the training, the representatives of the universities of Georgia got acquainted with the innovative strategies of teaching with technologies, the ways of creating and providing an effective digital learning environment for students. Also, the main objective of the training of trainers was to train online instructors how to plan, design, develop, implement and evaluate online courses.
Online Workshop for DITECH Participating Academic Staff

On July 5-6, 2022, within the framework of the European Union Erasmus + educational project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs), an online workshop was held by the universities of Cork (Ireland) and Tallinn (Estonia) specifically for representatives of the academic staff and the National Center for Teacher Professional Development involved in the DITECH project.
On July 5, the online workshop was led by the representative of the University College Cork (University College Cork, Ireland) - Dr. Sarah Thelen, who introduced the participants to the tools and resources necessary for using video in the process of online teaching, as well as the software tools necessary for the design and development of educational/educational videos.
Professional Development Training of the academic staff of Georgian universities participating in the EU project DITECH

On May 22-28, 2022, within the framework of the EU Erasmus + project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs), the first training of trainers was held for the representatives of the academic staff of the Georgian universities participating in the project and the representatives of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
DITECH coordinators meeting with external evaluator on progress report

On January 10, 2022, a meeting of the coordinators of Georgia and EU universities of the EU project DITECH and the external evaluator Barbara Rosenstein took place to discuss the progress report provided by the external evaluator. Barbara Rosenstein had analysed the Information and Knowledge Management Strategy and Plan, Quality Management Strategy and Plan and Risk Management Strategy and Plan. She found that these three documents reviewed for this report reflect the dedication and deep thinking of the authors and provide a firm basis for project success.
DITECH welcoming an external evaluator

Barbara Rosenstein, Ph.D. has practiced, taught, and written about program evaluation for 35 years. She has evaluated projects that involved multicultural and marginalized groups and has conducted many participatory evaluations of projects that promote social justice in the fields of education, social welfare, and social enterprise. She has served as the external evaluator for several European Union Projects; DEMO, ProTeach and ProMentor.

On November 15-16, 2021, the national meeting of the EU Erasmus+ project DITECH was held at Telavi Iakob Gogebashvili State University team. Georgian universities involved in the project and the National Center for Teacher Professional Development participated in the meeting.
Second National Meeting of the DITECH project Consortium

On July 27-29, the second national meeting of the EU Erasmus+ project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian Higher Education Institutions) was held in Batumi.
The second national meeting of the project was hosted by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and was attended by representatives of Georgian institutions.

The meeting was attended by Georgian and European universities.
First National Meeting of the DITECH project

On February 10 and 11, 2021, the first national workshop of Erasmus+ winning project Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs (DITECH) was held online, on the Zoom platform.
The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of higher education through the development and introduction of technology-enhanced teaching and learning in Georgian universities.
